About Scott

I have about 15 years of work experience in both restaurants and catering, and I've been fully vegan for about 6 years. I work freelance for a catering company, and I also host my own pop-up dinners and cooking classes in North Vancouver based on different themes with a fixed-price set menu.

My travels have taken me to dozens of countries in every continent. My goal is to use everything I've learned in my career and in my travels and do my part to offer delicious and memorable vegan experiences to clients seeking a healthier, more ethical and more sustainable diet.

Though hiring a private chef can be a bit more expensive than dining at a restaurant, it offers some advantages:

It allows you to skip transportation costs and overpriced liquor costs and relax in the comfort of your own home with your guests without being rushed out of a restaurant reservation. Furthermore, restaurants usually charge high auto-gratuities for large parties. My pricing is all-inclusive. I don’t charge or expect gratuities, but I also don’t reject them if a client thinks I deserve them.
 
What I love doing the most is private dinners at clients' homes for small gatherings of 6-12 people. Dinner can be served as plated multi-course meals but I also love doing feasts (a big spread of different dishes served buffet-style). For cocktail parties, I can also do passed canapés and self-serve platters.

I travel to homes around Metro Vancouver, so if you are interested in hiring me, send me a message with your date and number of guests, preferred menu, and I'll get back to you! 
 
I speak English, French, Portuguese, Spanish and Italian, and I’m happy to provide service in these languages.

PS: If you don’t have a home big enough for your party, ask me if I know a suitable venue. I just might! For parties larger than 12, pricing will depend on many things, such as the need for extra staff and rentals.
